In 2017, a set of silver gelatin prints from the series Witness ’79 by Hengameh Golestan were acquired by The British Museum, with the aid of AOTFD.
The acquisition formed part a group of photographs by nine artists from across the Middle East, with support from Art Fund. The works take the British Museum’s Middle East art collection in new directions capturing moments in time and engaging with recent and current histories.
